A tiny glass vial packed with every kind of luck Peru has to offer. Inside: a miniature saint, a huayruru seed (red and black, carried for protection and good fortune) and a crowd of other small, brightly colored talismans, all sealed in under a painted cap.
These are traditional in Peru, sold at markets and kept in pockets, purses, cash registers, and glove boxes. The idea is more is more. Why rely on one good luck charm when you can carry a dozen at once?
It’s 6.5cm tall, so it fits in a stocking with room to spare. Good for anyone starting something: a new job, a new house, a new year that you’d like to go better than the last one.
Handmade in Peru. Contents and cap colors vary, and we choose yours at random.
