For messes too big for a hand brush but not worth dragging the big broom out, like stairs, car floor mats, the fireplace hearth and the dog hair cloud on the couch. It's short enough to stash anywhere. The handle is pressed from recycled plastic on hand built equipment. Wrapped and stitched by broom maker friends.
A broom is one of the most-used things in a house and one of the least considered. If you're going to use something every day, it might as well be made by a person. It might as well be beautiful, too.
About Debris Factory
Debris Factory is Drew Dayberry, who spent years making very traditional brooms before deciding that industry is actually pretty wasteful. So he started over with plastic headed for landfills and researching more sustainable fibers. He works out of his home studio on wild vintage equipment. Watching it run is quite the spectacle. We spent a year conspiring with (okay, begging) Drew to get these into the shop. They're finally here.
